The Stick is a device that can emit a sound of more than 120 decibels. Just pick it up and press the button, and a huge noise will occupy the entire space. The Stick could be used as a lifesaving tool in defense and signaling. The artist hopes to grant the power to make a loud noise on the street to every individual through this device.

The name of this installation comes from a sentence in Kobo Abe's work The Rope, “The Rope” and “The Stick,” together, are some of humankind’s oldest “tools.”

声音大棒是一个可以发出超过120分贝响声的装置，只需要拿起，按下按钮，巨大的噪声将占据整个空间。在街头使用可以起到驱赶和警示的作用。通过这个装置，艺术家将在街头发出巨大响声的权力交还给每一个个体。

这个作品的名称来自于安部公房的作品《绳》中的一句话——“‘绳’和‘棒’一样，是人类最早创造的工具之一。”
